Medical Director Jessica Hughes Kisicki, MD
Dr. Hughes Kisicki has been the Medical Director at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center since 2015 and has been working clinically in the ED since 2012. She has 10 years of experience practicing Emergency Medicine, having practiced in Detroit and Cheyenne. She has previously served in various clinical leadership roles at Cheyenne including ED Quality Champion, Sepsis Physician Champion, and developing an ED Peer Review committee. She grew up in Littleton, Colorado and attended the University of Colorado at Boulder for her undergraduate degree. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Colorado SOM, in Aurora, CO and completed residency at St. John’s Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. Dr Hughes Kisicki loves to serve others which includes traveling on medical mission trips to Guatemala and Uganda. She loves her family and loves to run, read, and travel.
Director of APPs Joann Bourlier-Childress, PA-C
Joann has more than 20 years of experience practicing as an PA. She is originally from Western Nebraska and became interested in medicine after serving as an EMT in Kimball, Nebraska. She attended PA school at UNMC in Omaha, Nebraska because she was interested in follwoing a patients care from the beginning to discharge rather than leaving the patient in the ED. Joann enjoys being part of Summit Medical Group, which has helped her learn to serve others with more compassion and introduced her to a new calling: serving third world communities through mission work. Her true loves continue to be her two amazing children, Kelvin and Lexi. Kevin has two daughters, Noa and Andi. They live in Bejjing, China and have taught her the blessing of Skype.
Practice Administrator Athena Witham
Athena serves Summit Medical Group in a multi-faceted role, ensuring the group operates smoothly and efficiently. She is the go-to contact for questions ranging from provider benefits to event coordination. She received her bachelor’s degree in Science in Health and Sport Studies (now known as Kinesiology) from Miami University of Ohio. She obtained much of her medical and clinical background in podiatry and plastic surgery prior to transitioning into an administrative role as executive assistant to the CEO, credentialing coordinator and communications supervisor at an acute psychiatric hospital in South Carolina. This administrative experience prepared Athena for her practice administrator role at Summit Medical Group.
